teen fiction; zombie adventure. More plot thickening in the Ben Imura series. Awesome! ( )

Really well done, but I liked [b:Rot Ruin|7157310|Rot & Ruin (Benny Imura, #1)|Jonathan Maberry|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1264898635s/7157310.jpg|7443037] better. This one yanked on my heart strings harder than the last one, and it left me feeling kind of bleak. It's not a book without hope, but the world feels even darker at points of this story than it did in the first. Still a good read though! ( )

I did not like this one as much as the first. I felt it was to much of a retread. The writing was good and i still liked the characters but the plot was nothing special. Let me preface this by saying if I was a young teen I would have loved this book. It wasn't written for me and so I found some of the retread of the first book a little bothersome. ( )

Summary: This book is the second in a series of books about the aftermath of the zombie apocalypse. The story follows the character Benny Imura and his group of friends and family as they try to survive what the world has become, and hold on to the hope the plane they saw means that there is a better chance of survival if they find it.
Review: This book makes a good Science fiction because of its implications of zombies, a popular choice of humans turned monsters by some biohazard. The book also finds time to add extra horrors for the adventurers to face such as the thought that not zombie humans are far more dangerous than anything the zombies can be capable of.
