I can't say I'd highly recommend it but it kept me interested. ( ) John Locke knows how to hold your attention. Wish List has the same two POVs found in Finding Rachel (It's been a while but I believe that's true). Who can resist reading a tale told by a guy named Buddy Pancake? Locke's set-ups are so outrageous that you have to read on. Whether you like what happens in the story is beside the point. The character breathes and you breathe. Death is an aside. His books make me want to check the attic for Donovan Creed. Buddy Pancake (just love the name) is a guy who just seems to be down on his luck and then out of the blue, the wishes that he puts into a website start to come true. The only thing is that they all come with a price and it is a pretty heavy one. You never know what will happen from one page to the next in this book. LIke all other Locke books, this has you laughing one minute and gasping in surprise the next. Very original, great dialogue and the characters are so much fun. This is another Donovan Creed book, though it does not really state it in the description. When Buddy gets himself in way over his head, he calls on Creed to help him out, and when Creed gets involved, it is nothing but a rollercoaster of fun! Yet another great book from John Locke! Just can't put these books down! I got about a dozen pages into this and the thought occurred to me that the author reminds me of the current crop of stand-up comedians who use profanities and vulgarities to compensate for their lack of comedic talent. Any reader who is expecting a quality mystery or thriller written by an author with enough talent to write without a profusion of gutter talk and foul language would do well to look elsewhere. Twelve pages were more than enough for me stop reading in disgust. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

Be careful what you wish for! When Buddy Pancake and his drinking buddies stumble across the Wish List website, they jokingly post their "impossible" wishes. Imagine their surprise when, one by one, the wishes start coming true! But Buddy and his pals neglected to read the fine print explaining the price they must pay for the wishes they've been granted.
