I, personally, think this is worth only two stars, because so many of the recipes call for lots of carbs (breaded this, sandwich that, potato the other...) and a lot of them are fried/ deep-fried, also.

I bought it because I'm bored with serving the same old plain or minimally enhanced veggies on the side of the family's plates every dinner. If I had access to the exotic veggies cataloged here, we wouldn't need recipes. And I certainly wouldn't be spoiling them by making a creamy soup in a bread bowl with them!

Vegetarians who live near a good farmer's market might like it better, since they do need to make complete meals out of veggies. And I did get a couple of ideas from it, so I'm not releasing it quite yet. ( )

extraordinary vegetarian cookbook, with small section including fish. International recipes including asian, middle eastern, latin american, and american. Very creative and full of fresh herbs and spices. Interesting combinations as, for example a stuffed artichoke with grated carrots in the stuffing, a persian rice dish with a crispy crust and a fried onion garnish. Not a boring dish in the book. Highly recommended ( )

This was one of Scott's books he brought into the family. There is something exciting about a book that weighs more than your smallest child. You hope and dream it is full of wonderful things... we have yet to read it so we'll see. ( )
