read this because of the author, I like the quick pace of his writing. That being said, I don't remember much of this book.

With Ernest Cline's debut novel Ready Player One being one of my favourite books, once I became aware of this poetry collection I thought I'd give it a try. It's pleasant enough but rather insubstantial; excluding the introduction and illustrations, the poems - all 17 of them, including three short haikus - only take up 45 pages. A larger volume might have left a greater impression on me, but I didn't really like much of what was on offer. None of the poems really did anything for me, though 'The Geek Wants Out' and 'Curriculum Vitae' came close. Even though I loved Ready Player One and eagerly await Cline's second novel, Armada, later this year, this one is only for the completists. ( )
