When ten-year-old Lyddie and her younger brother are hired out as servants to help pay off their family farm's debts, Lyddie is determined to find a way to reunite her family. This is a book intended for early readers. This book would be great preschool, kindergarten and 1st grade. It is great for new vocabulary but it isn't too work heavy. This book is about 2 cats. One is named Mac and one is named Cheese. Mac loves everything and enjoys to play. Cheese doesn't like many things and does not like to play. Cheese likes to sit quietly with Mac. Cheese is grumpy. If Mac says yes, Cheese says no. Mac has a blue hat that cheese doesn't like and it goes flying. Cheese goes chasing after the hat. He has to try new things to get the hat. When he gets back he asks Mac if they can just sit a relax. This book was cute. It might be funny for little kids. I would use this in my classroom for new readers. It is very simple vocabulary and is a great way to introduce students to reading. Opinion: I do not like "Mac and Cheese" for several reasons. First, the illustrations are not very attractive for children. I feel they are a bit creepy to be in a picture book containing rudimentary poetry. Which brings me to my next reason, which is the boring and empty plot. It is decently entertaining due to its use of rhyme and the playful characters, named "Mac" and "Cheese". Other than that, there is no big idea or message that I can find. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
