This book tells the wonderful story of the sounds that happen during the day and the one that happen at night. Language has a very large impact on this poem. For example, "Tooting of tugs, Clicking of skates". The way that these phrases or sound are on two separate lines helped me focus one each, and I was able to do this throughout the book. Language is very important, as it a huge part of what tells a story. The way words are separated or spaced, shows where the emphasis is. Great book! ( ) The sound of day is full of noises from everything. Either the dog barking, cars driving, children playing, clocking ticking and anything else imaginable. The day is never quiet but the sound of night is different. It is calmer than the day with lullabies to the baby, big brother and sister tiptoeing to the baby's room, or the wind blowing. Then it is silent and everyone is able to rest. This is a cute children's book. I can relate to the business of the day then the calmness of the night. It is a very different scene. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
Two poems present the sounds of day and the sounds of night, from a clatter of soapsuds and spatter to the hush of snowflakes touching on the ground. No library descriptions found. |
