I love this book! Every animal pictured in this book if life-size, including the killer whale! Sometimes only parts of the animal, like the head, are pictured. In the lesson I used this in with kindergarteners, we compared out heights to those in the book, and made guesses as to how big the animals were altogether where we only saw heads or tails. Be sure to look up pronunciations of the animal names first, though, before trying to read this book aloud! ( )

Another amazing "life-size" book from Teruyuki Komiya. Like "Life Size Zoo," this book also features life-size photos of animals (this time they're aquatic), fun facts, and cute illustrations. This book will fly off the shelves of any library. ( )
