A cute book that shows different ways to add to seven.

Count and add as you follow along the ducklings journey! The book went up to number 7. The book puts a fun twist on math. By rhyming, you are able to find all the ways the numbers relate! ( )

I would enjoy using this book in a kindergarten or 1st grade classroom. The book shows the children the different ways to count to seven using addition. The book also has the ducklings as visual aids for the children to count if they do not understand how to count to seven. I think this would go good with a math lesson on addition. However I believe only lower grade levels can benifit from this book because the text is very simple.

Overall, the book is great and the different events in the story that the ducklings do help distract the children from actually knowing their doing math. This will be a good aid to even a lesson on counting. ( )

A precious book with lovely illustrations "Quack and Count" incorporates basic addition into a children't book. I enjoyed the way the author encouraged the reader to count the ducks as they went. It would be a wonderful book to read when beginning simple addition problems. I felt that the way the illustrations broke the ducks up on either side of the fold when doing the addition problem was a nice visual for early learners. ( )

This book was a counting book that went up to the number 7. The illustrations were cute and it had the ducks doing different things but I was a little confused as to why the author chose to only count to 7 instead of 10, I think it might confuse a child. ( )
