Personal Reaction: I liked this book to simply and easily inform students about Volcanoes. Classroom Extension Ideas: 1) You could use this book to introduce volcanoes to a science class. 2) Have the class find other volcanoes in the world that are not examples in the book like, a cinder cone, shield, dome, extinct, etc. Summary This book is a good children's book to explain volcanoes and what they do. It lists different types of volcanoes and how they are good for the earth. Personal Reaction This is an excellent book to introduce volcanoes to your classroom with. It does a good job at describing them and what they do without going into so much detail it would overwhelm the students. Classroom Extension Ideas 1. Make a classroom volcano and then discuss what it takes to make a volcano to explode and what a volcano is made out of. 2. Look up the different types of volcanoes and present them to the class. 3. Look up the different famous volcanoes and learn about why they are well known. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
