Good news for Parker fans; the University of Chicago Press has just reissued Slayground and Plunder Squad. That meads that the of the 24 Parker novels everything's back in print except Butcher's Moon. I have heard the U of Chicago Pr, will be printing this one, which will conclude their reissues of the Parker series. Cheers, A

Regarding the Parker books by Richard Stark was the matchbook cover design the original book cover or not?Being a collector of such a hobby as matchbooks as a teenager this has become one of my favorite series to read.

I have the U of Chicago's Slayground. It's a great entry in the series, but it should've come with a map. I explained it in great detail in a review I did of this book on my website. http://mikedennisnoir.com/review-slayground/1376/

For those who are unfamiliar with the Stark/Westlake Parker novels, I can recommend them. They all operate at a high level.

University of Chicago Press's reprint of Butcher's Moon is now available. You should be able to purchase the entire series from various publishers and complete your set!

This is very cool.

I like Stark okay, but they are less popular and known than the Westlake books for good reasons. One of which is that they are, essentially, a sub-genre thing, among many other similar books. Where as Dortmunder et al are very unique.
