I'm interested in any recommendations people may have for the best available 1st Edition Traveller Scenarios/Campaigns. They can be from GDW, FASA, or Judges Guild, or anyone else from that era.

I'm coming back to classic Traveller after a break of um...27 Years, and am trying to determine some scenarios/Adventures to buy.

I have 4 of the large format reprints Marc Miller did a few years ago, which contain the 9 Core Books, 13 Supplements, 13 Adventures, and the Short Adventures. I find these long format books a little Unwieldy.

I miss the Traveller Little Black Books.

For my 40th Birthday this week my sister bought me the original 1st Edition Traveller Box Set, with Little Black Books 1-3 :-)

There's something really special about the Little Black Books, isn't there?

I have always been partial to Traveller Double Adventure 2: Across the Bright Face / Mission on Mithril. They're mainly just exploration and survival adventures though. That's right up my alley, but if you're looking for combat, well, there's not all that much in there.

I always found personal combat in Traveller to be reasonably lethal, so avoiding combat isn't such a bad thing.

I was considering looking at the 'Beltstrike' module, for all the belter character/background, since that does seem interesting (although the price is a bummer $60-$80 dollars right now)

And yes there is something strangely entrancing about the Little Black Books. It is interesting that Traveller sold the best in that format.

Beltstrike is a good one. I don't have it in hardcopy and have never played through it, but I think that would be serve as a great campaign. I've also got Tarsus, another one of the boxed set mini-campaigns, but I'm not very familiar with it.

Tarsus looks interesting too, it's another stupid money module these days hovering around the $60-80 mark.

I've determined that any money I receive as a gift for my 40th Birthday later this week I am only going to spend in a frivolous way, and probably on Traveller supplements :-)

I opted in the end to pick up:

Beltstrike (Boxed Module)

I also picked up the following Traveller Little Black Books:

Book #4 - Mercenary
Book #5 - High Guard
Book #6 - Scouts
Book #7 - Merchant Prince
Supplement #4 Citizens of the Imperium
Supplement #6 76 Patrons
Supplement #7 Traders and Gunboats

That ate all my Frivolous Birthday Money.
