Ars Nova—the treatise

Hello folks—

I'd like to read Philippe de Vitry's Ars Nova. Is there a readily available English translation? I could even try making sense of the original Middle French but I can't seem to find it on the net.

The standard edition is the one by Gilbert Reaney, published by the American Institute of Musicology in 1964, and owned by many research libraries. It also seems to be available new from the publisher--see CSM 8 at http://www.corpusmusicae.com/csm.htm--as well as used through numerous online sellers. There is an English translation of the treatise by Leon Plantinga, published in the Journal of Music Theory, vol. 5 no. 2 (Winter 1961), pp. 204-23, which can be found on JSTOR. By the way, some of this treatise (including the title!) was originally in Latin, and in Reaney's publication the author's name has been rendered in that language as Philippi de Vitriaco.
