Give a Boy a Gun by Todd Strasser. It made me think that maybe if I made more of an effort to talk to those who are considered an outcast then maybe, maybe I could make life for them a little easier. I was never mean to anyone considered a weirdo or an outcast, but I didn't go out of my way to be nice either. After reading this book I did though. I danced with a boy who was looked down on at homecoming and coronation. We talk all the time now and we even have a lot in common and because I'm in the more popular crowd no one picked on him or me for hanging out. I got this particular boy to stop cutting, as often, he still does once in a while but he always tells me later. He even told me he was thinking about suicide once and I talked him out of it. He's a good friend of mine now and I have the influence of this book to thank.

Good for you for putting what you've learned into practice! :) That's the key, you know..... "Be the difference you want to see," then you can pretty much count on your outlook and your life feeling like you want it to feel. It's helpful, too!

Thanks! I agree! The little things you do for people make a bigger difference than ever realized and I just wish other people could see things like that too!

The Secret changed my view on life. It definitely changed my way of thinking about life and everything in it. If I think negative thoughts, then I will attract negativity, and vice versa. When I first began reading it I thought that it was all a load of rubbish, but now it has helped me to always look on the bright side and not let negativity bring me down. I also learnt that whenever you have a dream, you need to act on it and pursue it because it's not going to come to you. I've known all this my whole life, but this book just helped remind me and I actually took advice from the book. I made a pinboard of everything that I want or want to achieve, and to my surprise, by using 'the secret' (most of the time) I actually got or achieved most of the stuff on my pinboard! I don't 100% believe in 'the secret' because I think most of it is just self-perseverance and determination but still, the book definitely helped me.
