I currently live in NH and I am considering moving to MA - somewhere between Boston and Nashua, preferably, since I spend time in both places. Looking at a map, I was thinking maybe Chelmsford or Billerica? But I don't know much (anything!) about the area. Any suggestions on, I don't know, where to live, where not to live, how to find a decent apartment for a decent price?

Thanks!

All I know is that my sister and brother-in-law live in Chelmsford and it's very nice. But they have a house, so I'm afraid I can't ask them for apartment advice for you.

Sorry, I have been preoccupied and not checking the group lately. Things will be more expensive as near the border and as you get closer to Boston. Let's see, maybe halfway between Boston and Nashua would be around Burlington.

I live the next town over from Chelmsford, which is a mix of surburbia and commercial areas. It borders Lowell, so it also is near things that a city can offer (concerts, hospital, restaurants...etc). The T service runs into Lowell. What else do you need to know? (oh, and you'll pay state income tax when you move over the border also!)
