I've decided to be bold and spammy, because I felt a little bad after my last Civil War book give-away contest when I didn't post here and consequently no one from this forum entered, except for the people that know me on the ancient forum.
This time it's 2 lovely hardbacks provided by PBS. I haven't read them because they were sent last minute. But they tie into the BBC/PBS special:::
WWII Behind Closed Doors: Stalin, the Nazis, and the West
The series starts tonight (at least in Virgina), and I've viewed the DVD and highly recommended it. I'm not a modern history person --CW is about as far as I go) but the series blew me away. Very good.
In any case, take a gander at the series. If it's up your alley drop by and enter to win one of the books. No hoops to jump through. You can use your LT name as long as there's no chance you might get confused with another person.
