So...basically, this discussion board is for two things:
1) discussion of anything dealing with books & book clubs -- choosing your reading selections, sharing books that you've enjoyed, managing the flow of conversation, planning book clubs, etc.
2) promoting/getting involved in your own book club - whether you want to do an online version (as some have suggested) or a real-life book club.
The site that I run in my spare time, MyPeopleConnection.com, allows anyone to post events like book clubs for free - and it's just for friends. The site is funded through optional donations - it is membership free.
It was my hope in starting up this group on LT that we could bring together book lovers and discussion of our favorite (or least favorite) books. Encouraging more folks to read is admirable enough - but discussion on those books often leads to some interesting conclusions.
You don't have to be a part of a book club to join us. We're open to everyone who loves books and wants to talk about them. Just jump in the conversation and - like this - if you have questions, please ask! :-)
