Could anyone advise on the proper sequence of the Bond novels? I'm confused with it because the short stories "Property of a Lady", "The Living Daylights", "Octopussy" were published at different times.

Also, I understand that some of the writers who were authorized by Fleming's estate to write Bond novels have placed some stories in the 1960s, so if these books are also relevant to the question, I would appreciate knowing.

Yes, that list is easy to compile simply by checking the copyright dates, but I was referring to the sequence of the events in these stories. For example, "The Man with the Golden Gun" is sometimes referred to as the "last" Bond story, because Fleming died before completing it. Where, for example, does the story "Octopussy" stand within the sequences of events of Bond's life?
