I've added links on this group's main page to the principal top-level LC Subject Headings relating to numismatics. This can be an interesting way to browse around and see what other thingamabrarians have in their collections. When you follow the links, take note of the "related subjects" list that LibraryThing provides on the right hand side of the page. That will point you to other headings of interest.

(There is in fact a top-level heading for "Elephants in numismatics." I didn't include that, but perhaps I should have.)

You could add tokens to the list.

I can't figure out how the LC subject headings work in LibraryThing. I see on the Numismatics group page the "Some related LC subject headings". These topics don't look like what I saw when I went to http://www.loc.gov/catdir/cpso/lcco/lcco_c.pdf for "Subclass CJ".

When I click on "Coins, Greek" I get a LibraryThing screen I haven't seen before. How would this screen be reachable if I wasn't a member of this group?

There was a bug "Your subjects | All subjects". I typed in "medals", cliked Search Subjects and got a strange error: "The used table type doesn't support FULLTEXT indexes - fatal error (1*)". But if I put Medals on the URL line manually, http://www.librarything.com/subject.php?subject=Medals , LibraryThing clearly knows about medal subjects.
