I'm a big reader of 'layman' books on Buddhism. Currently, I am very much into the Janwillem Van De Wetering style i.e. books written by practitioners for interested laymen, I guess, describing the author's experiences. I also enjoyed the "Best Buddhist Writing" books. Can anyone recommend any authors along these lines?

You might enjoy Blue Jean Buddha by Sumi Loundon. Its a collection of essays and stories by and about teenage and young adult buddhists. I think there's a more recent sequel as well, but don't remember the title at them moment.
