Perhaps someone in this group might be able to help me identify a highly abbreviated literary reference: "Prior's Sol."

"Prior" is certainly the author's name; "Sol." is the abbreviated title of a work. "Prior's Sol." seems to be the source for a verse I am trying to track down, but I don't yet know what "Prior's Sol." is. The citation appears in a couple of 18th and 19th century meditative works. Here is one example, via Google books, from a study of a Methodist hymn. The citation appears as one of the footnotes at the bottom of the page.

Without a first name for "Prior" or a fuller title for "Sol." I'm having difficulty.

Many thanks.

I looked it up in my database and couldn't find anything.

Many thanks for checking. Someone in another group tracked it down: it is the English poet Matthew Prior. (I was sure it was going to be an obscure Puritan biblical commentary.)
