You beat me too it AT! I'm about half way through my copy, and am currently reading the Paris Review Vol 2 and have Herodotus on the pile. I hadn't heard of Kushwant Singh, so think that might find its way into my library shortly!

Apart from Herodotus, the only one in my possession is Mr Perrin and Mr Traill - an unread Penguin first edition. I can see I'll have to get down to some Walpole.

Hello! I just joined, after devouring my "trial" issue of SF (Winter '08) last night. (While I probably could have just subscribed after reading the descriptions from yourselves and other websites, I told myself the expense would be more justifiable if I sampled the quarterly first. ) While I stumbled across the quarterly by googling Flowers for Mrs Harris, I had also read the two Nancy Mitford's earlier this year, and thought I might have similar tastes or curiosities as the SF folks. Well, I suscribed this morning, and also ordered a backcopy of No. 4, as I see that it has an article on M.R. James, who I also greatly enjoy.
I can see that SF is going to be hard on the wallet, because this issue alone makes me want to read The Green Man, The Lyttleton Hart-Davis Letters (but maybe beginning with Roger Hudson's "Selection"), Herodotus, and Mr. Perrin and Mr. Traill. While googling the Lyttleton/Hart-Davis letters, I came across reference to a spoof - The Marsh Marlowe letters - anyone read them?
