Hi y'all,
I just added a book to my LT list which no one else has, and that's hard for me to believe!
The book is A Treasury of the Maine Woods, by Edmund Ware Smith.
Any thoughts? Do any of you have this, and just haven't entered it in LT yet?

Nope, but I'll bet you $10 that my brother has one in his library (but, alas, he is not a LThinger). I'm still waiting for someone else to catalog a copy of The History of Paris, Maine by William Lapham.

I guess the most unique book that I have, that amazes me, is Not Without Peril. This truly should be mandatory reading for all who climb to, and then above, the tree line
But now, will have find A Treasury of Maine Woods, to share with my fellow Mainers.
BTW - I have nearly a dozen unique books in my small catalogue. What does this mean?

DreamCatcher,
I think there may be a LT bug .. we have Not Without Peril, as do 8 others. I'm guessing that it is not recognizing the subtitle on yours? It is listed w/ subtitle on ours.
You are correct, that it should be mandatory reading for those who climb above tree line!

I have all of Edmund Ware Smith's books. I think he's one of the best Maine author's out there. Most of my collection are first editions, some signed.

Just stumbled on this thread....The South Thomaston Public Library has books by Edmond Ware Smith. Their catalog is online (link from their web page.
A click on the title will give you a full Marc record.
Now you have me curious---I cataloged it, guess I'll have to go read it!
