As I've said on our main page, you're most welcome to cross-post your book club events for free on MyPeopleConnection.com.

What other online ways are you getting the word out?

It can be quite challenging if you're just starting out trying to connect with others.

In the beginning, I posted info about our book club to our local community group on Livejournal.com. This helped some new members to find us. I also posted it as a community activity in our local newspaper. Other than that, I did the old fashioned ways of posting flyers in libraries, coffee shops and book stores. This was over a year and a half ago and we're still going strong. Now we have new members join that heard about us through their friend who is already a member. We always accept new members, but we have about 10-12 who regularly show up, plus another handful who show up here and there. We don't really *need* any new members at this point.

I belong to a online group of women of various ages who are pretty relaxed but still try to read one book a month or more with whoever can get it read in their busy lives. If anyone would like to join up you can leave a message on my profile page and I can give you more information to see if you want to join us. Right now we have about 20 members from all over.
