Off to P-Town! See you in 3-mo!

Hi everyone, I just wanted to say good-bye before taking off to Provincetown, MA for the summer. I started this group, so I think a 3-month absence needs to be explained.

I'll be in Provincetown because I've been granted a writing residency there. P-Town has hosted some great artists and writers through the years. Stanley Kunitz was one of the originals, and his home and garden are in P-Town, just down from the Fine Arts Work Center where I'll be working and living until school resumes at the End of August. More recently, Michael Cunningham has written there, Norman Mailer, and Lahiri Jhumpa. http://www.fawc.org/

My hope is to complete a draft of my second novel there. FAWC will give me a place to stay, traveling/living expenses, and I'll get to take 3 workshops.

I will have some access to the Internet but I don't plan to take advantage of it very much. Anything that is a distraction to writing will be totally banned from my existence so I can concentrate on my writing while I'm there.

But I hope all of you will keep this group going while I'm away! I'll be back at the end of August/beginning of Sept. Have a great summer, everyone!
