Can we have a thread on Anglophiles in History?

I would start it off with the Federalists, led by Alexander Hamilton, who were opposed by the Francophiles, led by Thomas Jefferson, in George Washington's first term.

Since I consider Sir Winston Churchill one of the greatest statesmen of the 20th Century, maybe Franklin Delano Roosevelt is a modern example.
