One of the books from the Favourites of 2022 roundabout arrived recently, so that will be my top priority for April, and I'm hoping to read at least one more of my ABC books.

A local organization is running a huge book sale for a charitable cause at the end of April. They usually do this every year, but the event got cancelled the past 3 years because of the pandemic. I'm planning to spend some time going through my books and choosing some to donate. Every year, my goal is to buy only half as many books as I donate! :)

Hoping to knock another 3 books off the list but we will be home by Easter and I expect there will be library holds for me to read.

>3 gypsysmom: I hope you made progress with your April books.

I finished the 2022 roundabout book that I had planned to read, and am mostly through a late straggler from the 2021 roundabout that arrived soon after.

For the booksale I mentioned in my earlier message, I donated 4 boxes of books and bought only 18 more, so I'll call that a success (in showing restraint). After having been cancelled 3 years in a row, I guess we readers were all eager to get back to buying books. Apparently, about 50000 books were up for sale, and thousands of buyers visited over two days.

> Well done for restricting your buying. I just bought 5 books at a local church's garage sale plus I purchased one new book during the Independent Bookstore Day (but it's a book I read a library copy of so this is just so I have a copy of my own). I haven't donated or released many books recently but my city's Friends of the Library group just announced that they are also having their annual book sale this year so I got a bunch to drop off for that.

I only knocked one book off the list. As I expected there were library books I needed to read including the book club pick of Braiding Sweetgrass which I loved but it took a long time to digest everything. In fact, that's the book that I bought a copy of.
