The Civil Wars and the Glorious Revolution

This is rather outside the boundaries of this page, but I do not see an alternative page. Can anyone suggest books on the English Civil Wars and the Glorious Revolution. I'm much less interested in the military aspects. I wish to research the political causes and outcomes.

For a more general history of the period:
A Monarchy Transformed: Britain, 1603-1714 (Penguin History of Britain) by Mark Kishlansky
Rebellion: The History of England from James I to the Glorious Revolution by Peter Ackroyd. This one is probably more approachable.

For the English Civil War, here are a few:
Britain in Revolution: 1625-1660 by Austin Woolrych
The Civil War: The War of the Three Kingdoms 1638-1660 by Trevor Royle
The Noble Revolt: The Overthrow of Charles I by John Adamson

For the Glorious Revolution:
The Glorious Revolution: 1688, Britain’s Fight for Liberty by Edward Vallance
1688: The First Modern Revolution by Steven C. A. Pincus
The Last Revolution: 1688 and the Creation of the Modern World by Patrick Dillon

Obviously there are many more, those are the ones I'm familiar with. Good hunting!

>2 jztemple: Thank you very much. I am currently reading Kishlansky. It is enjoyable, but is much more a of general survey (which serves as an excellent starting point). I wish he had endnotes, though. I also have "Restoration" and "Revolution" by Tim Harris to read. I also want to order the Edward Vallance book.

From your list "The Noble Revolt" looks to fit my ticket perfectly. I am also intrigued by the Pincus book.
