The Collection on Blu-Ray -- are you collecting?

Yes, I fell off that cliff. Well, first I got a Blu-Ray (subsequently BR) drive because I wanted something else, but that opened the floodgates and now I'm biting fingernails waiting to complete my up-to-date DW releases.

I'm bowled over by the extras, in particular--WHODA THUNK IT?!-- the PDFs with all the production notes. Fascinating stuff!

These are so fab--check them out!

Yes, I have a number of them. I have to check what I've missed in the last year. Not like I've had time to watch them though. I'm most of the way through the Jon Pertwee season that I got most recently, just have The Green Death to watch yet. The extras are always lots of fun.

Are you getting the UK limited releases? I only have the North American bare-bones versions. I think the contents on the discs are supposed to be the same, but the "limited edition" packaging looks fantastic, not to mention the presence of booklets (we get nothing).

So far I'm missing the two Pertwee sets and the Colin Baker one.

I have checked all the discs for playability but have only started getting into the NEW extras. I listened to the old commentary tracks on the DVDs and seen most of the old featurettes previously, but I discovered only now how fun the "info text" can be!

No, I only get the North American sets. I've been watching Pertwee episodes and extras. I haven't gotten the Colin Baker set either. I really disliked Trial of a Time Lord and can't decide how much of a completist I want to be. I have the episodes taped from TV, but that far back they are almost certainly on Beta.

Yes, it will probably remain one of the sets I leave for last. I've seen so much praise for the extras in it that I changed my mind about getting it, so that's an achievement. The individual stories aren't that bad IMO, but that "courthouse trial" framing device was a terrible idea. Incidentally, it seems at least one story has been formatted without the "trial" bits (as a bonus feature).

Pertwee Season 7, Baker 13, 15 and 17, and the remaining two of McCoy seasons is what I'm waiting for most impatiently.
