In the user cover stats (https://www.librarything.com/profile/<user>/stats/covers), it would be nice to have stats for "covers uploaded by you" and "covers uploaded by another member".

>1 gcthomas: For the second part of the request, those already exist. "Member uploaded cover" broken down by quality and whether you picked it or whether the system picked it.

>2 gilroy: When I look at my own stats (https://www.librarything.com/profile/gcthomas/stats/covers), I see:
Amazon-provided cover (ISBN) (85)
Amazon-provided cover (ASIN) (27)
This only covers 112 of 385 books in my catalog.
In your stats (https://www.librarything.com/profile/gilroy/stats/covers) I see:
Member-uploaded cover, chosen by you (158)
Member-uploaded cover, best-guess for ISBN (584)
No cover (140)
Low-quality: Member-uploaded cover, chosen by you (28)
High-quality: Member-uploaded cover, chosen by you (130)
Low-quality: Member-uploaded cover, best-guess for ISBN (184)
High-quality: Member-uploaded cover, best-guess for ISBN (400)
Your stats cover 882 of 1328 books (disregarding the low/high- quality counts which are subdivisions of the other stats).
So I guess there's some kind of bug where it only shows stats for Amazon or member-uploaded covers, but not both?
But for the member-uploaded cover stats it doesn't indicate whether the covers were uploaded by you or another member, so the feature request is still relevant.

>3 gcthomas: Regarding the discrepancy, I think it's exactly the covers uploaded by you. The stats show amazon covers and those uploaded by other members, while the remaining part are yours. It would indeed be nice if the number showed, instead of divining it indirectly.
Do you use some covers uploaded by others? If not, that would explain the missing numbers. If you do, but it's not showing, than it's a bug of some kind.

>4 SandraArdnas: I don't think this is the correct explanation. I use a mix of Amazon covers, custom covers from other members, and my own cover images. Based on my own tracking I have 127 books with my own uploaded covers, so that still leaves 146 books unaccounted for. Likewise, gilroy's library has at least one cover from Amazon but his stats page doesn't show that.
So, the missing books are definitely a bug.

>3 gcthomas: I suspect there's a setting that's not been used at this point.
You might want to go to your profile.
Click Edit Profile and Account
On the left side of the screen, click on Other Settings
A little down the screen, you'll see a section that says "Your Covers"
In this case, you'll want to make sure that "Show Member-contributed Covers" is checked.
You might also want to uncheck "Show Amazon Covers" unless you like using the Amazon covers which may change when Amazon changes its covers.
Then you'll need to actually select member covers. Because until you tell the system you don't want to use Amazon covers, it will show the best Amazon Cover.

>6 gilroy: Good idea, but no dice. I have both "Show Amazon covers" and "Show member-contributed covers" enabled, but still no member cover stats.

>7 gcthomas: Then I think you are only using Amazon covers.

In looking at my own cover stats, I have to wonder if there isn't some sort of lag or bug showing up. Because I have 3,593 books in my library, but the book covers stats page is only tracking 2,881 of them. Well, when I started writing this message, that was the case. I went and applied covers to two of the books I had with no cover (one that I uploaded myself, the other a member uploaded cover already in the system), and now the tracked number of covers is 2,879.

There does seem to be a bug. I have 1200 or so books missing data (out of 5000+). If I click on 'member uploaded covers chosen by you' to identify those particular books, there is none listed entered after December 2016. There should be very many.

>10 affle: Yeah, I'm not seeing any after October 2016 on my account. Looks like it's time to make a bug report.
