Thanks for the invite! No sure how many biggies I will read this year; looking over what I'd like to read right now, there are none that exceeds 500 pages; but that's likely to change as my reading plans always change!

Hi John, I think Michael did not read your answer in the 'running total' thread. Perhaps you could send him a PM?

Hi Bryan mate, we are all fine and dandy, enjoying see our grandson who was born on Star Wars day, five months old now and seems to be growing every time we see him. Hope you and the family are all well mate.
As for the Ashes, well, what can you say. We have played more Tests than your boys but we are a bit hit and miss. If it wasn't for Joe Root's runs we would be in a sorry state, he is a thousand runs ahead of the next English batsman although we have found a decent bowler in Ollie Robinson. I think it could be an interesting series and no disrespect but i think Paine needs to keep his mouth closed, he had a pop about whether we were coming with Covid restrictions and saying he would be there on the 8th December and then scuttled back to Tassie when four cases were notified in Queensland, who was the pussie then.
We just need our openers to see the new ball threat off and make sure that by the time Root is settled, we are not 3 for 30 or less which has been the case far too often over the past two years. I will be listening in on the radio to the commentary to see how we are going.
As for anymore BFB's this year, i might get a couple more Reachers in and a couple of Baldacci's. I needed a bit of a break this year and the Mrs has been pestering me for the last 18 months to read some of the ones she has read so that she can talk to me about them, i haven't got time to chat about what i've read, i need to continue reading. I think i have assuaged her a little bit, lol.
Will talk again mate, keep safe and all the family my friend.
