ebooks on Overdrive

Hey guys.

I had to get Overdrive to open my latest ebook since there was no pdf. I can put the book onto my computer app but the sync device thing only seems to work for library borrowed titles. Does anyone know how to get an ebook file onto an iphone? Or do I need to read this from the computer only?

That's odd. I thought Overdrive was only for libraries.

There's an app, which you can access through a library card or an account. I'm not sure if it expanded, but the app does say "Rakuten Overdrive" so maybe it's a separate thing or Rakuten (whatever company they are) made a user wing for it.

Either way, it's slowing up my review reading. I can see if my ereader works so I'm not glued to the computer all the time.

I don't know what you mean by a "user wing".

In any case, I didn't think you could use Overdrive for anything other than ebooks checked out from your library. "OverDrive is a free service offered by your library or school that lets you borrow digital content . . ."

"Rakuten Overdrive" is the name of the company.

Back when I read on a Fire, my Kobo Books would download to the Overdrive app, and I used to download various other non-library ePub books to the app as well. Never bothered with syncing, though.

OP, nowadays when I download random ePub titles to my iPad they usually go straight to the Books app. Any chance that would work on your phone?

I've tried syncing, but it only seems to work with borrowed books and bookmarks. I have my ebook using overdrive on my comp but it won't go to my phone.

I can try the epub. Never used the books app, but I do have an iphone.
