241. Love's Abiding Joy by Janette Oke - book 4 in the Love Comes Softly series. This book was special for me. Clark and Marty take a train trip west to visit their daughter, Missie and her family. While there, Clark has an accident in a mine and his leg is crushed. He ends up losing his leg. I had to have my foot amputated earlier this year and I have read this book and the entire series probably every other year for many years. It has a new meaning to me now. His acceptance of his amputation has prepared me without my realizing it.
