Ideas? Suggestions?

Hi everyone,

I'm kinda' new to LT and I'm looking for any suggestions you may have for some really good Chick Lit books that you've read. I do have the new Amazon Kindle, so it's good if I can access them immediately, otherwise, I'll just buy the "dead trees" versions of the books if I really like the way they sound!

I recently finished Remember Me? by Sophie Kinsella. I found it funny and entertaining. The main character wakes up from an accident and finds out that she can't remember the last 3 years of her life.

Little Lady Agency by Hester Browne is a great chick lit series, funny and entertaining.

Also if you want some historical chick lit, try the secret history of the pink carnation by Lauren Willig

How do you like the Kindle? I've been looking at it but not sure if I want to fork over the money for it yet.

I finished Remember Me? the other day as well, I still think Can You Keep a Secret? is her best stand-alone book, but preferred Remember Me? to Undomestic Goddess. I just love the Shopaholic books too!

I also read Jill Mansell's most recent book An offer you can't refuse - I liked it.

The Little Lady books are great too! I really hope there's a third one in the series. :o)

I love Sophie Kinsella too!, her Shopaholic-series is quite entertaining, allthough the last ones got a bit predictable. Can you keep a secret and Remember me? are her best standalone books in my opinion.

I am a big fan of Meg Cabot, especially The Boy Next Door and the Heather Wells Mysteries (1st book is Size 12 is Not Fat). I also enjoy Kavita Daswani, who writes Indian chick lit. For Matrimonial Purposes, Village Bride of Beverly Hills, and Salaam Paris were all great fun. I am including a link to an article in Library Journal. Anything of Jennifer Crusie would definitely qualify. As would Marian Keyes.

A few of my favs are Room for Improvment by Stacy Ballis, The Rock Orchard by Paula Wall and In Her Shoes Jennifer Weiner.

Rachel Giffin is good. She wrote Something Borrowed and a companion book Something Blue which are both fun.

Rachel's Holiday and Lucy Sullivan is Getting Married are my favorites by Marian Keyes. She's very, very funny and writes well.

#9, Something Borrowed and Something Blue are actually by Emily Giffin - but you're right, they are great! :-)

I enjoyed Earthly Pleasures by Karen Neches and Perfect on Paper by Maria Murnane - I have reviews of mostly chick lit on my blog, and I tend to average about 5 books a week, so you'll definitely find some new stuff to read there if you keep an eye on it!

I was wondering if anyone has read Skinny Bitch, Skinny Bitch In The Kitch and Skinny Bitch Bun In The Oven, yet. I saw an ad in yesterday's New York Times for these books and Skinny Bitchin' which is due to come out on Dec. 2, 2008.

The Sweet Potato Queens' Book of Love by Jill Conner Browne.
How to Murder a Millionaire by Nancy Martin is the first book in the Blackbird Sisters series, they are all good but you need to read them in order.
Hypocrite in a Pouffy White Dress by Susan Jane Gilman

My favorite chick lit authors are Jennifer Belle, Marian Keyes, and Sophie Kinsella. Jennifer Belle is hilarious!
