As Authors we hope and pray for great reviews for our work and books, but they don't really happen often. When they do come it is very humbling. Two days ago I received an e-mail through my website (www.garywbabb.com) from someone I didn't know that had read two of my books. He told me he posted reviews of my books on Amazon. The following is what I found:

September 5, 2018
i was given "Earth Is Ours" and "Target Earth" as a gift. i was originally skeptical. good sci-fi (i mean "REALLY GOOD" sci-fi) is a rarity. however, after the first chapter, i was hooked. both books are, at their essence, a love story. a very unique and even somewhat odd love story, but one full of surprises and a complete range of emotions. i'm a guy, and this story had me turning pages. it was rich, textured and complex. but what i loved most about it (yes, i said "loved."), was how it all made sense. the plot line was more like a spiders web, but it all made sense. and the low-water mark for some sci-fi's, the actual Science, that all worked as well.

Gary Babb has done a most amazing job with both the first and second book in this series. i am very excited, and a little impatient, to get the third book and find out how...well, i don't want to spoil it for you. but, if you like sci-fi, romance or war stories...READ THIS BOOK! obviously, i have become a fan. after Earth's Warriors, i plan on reading all of mr. Babb's works. i only wish there were more in this particular series...sigh...hint....

Needless to say, I remain humbled by his review.

I don't have many reviews as I have little published but I got this nugget years ago after successfully getting my first short story printed in Dark Horizons 52 (2007):

"Withered by (me!): an intriguing premise ? a woman wakes with no memory of who she is, but realises that she is not human ? ends abruptly, as if the first few pages had been extracted from a novel.
...
A varied mix of tales. The one which caught my attention most was Withered; I find that kind of plot appealing, and if (she) ever extends it into a novel I'll be joining the queue to buy it."

It did make me feel that I could actually pull off this writing thing, at least when I could manage the effort.
