Has anyone read this book? It's new and I'm wondering if it's really a successful digest for the layman of all his wonder work, or if people who've read This is Your Brain on Music by Daniel J. Levitin or Music, The Brain, and Ecstasy by Robert Jourdain are going to be bored. Anyone else read these musical neuroscience texts?

I haven't read Oliver Sacks's Musicophilia yet, barclayb, and am wondering, just as you are, whether, after reading This is Your Brain on Music, it might be a bit of a let-down. I know Sacks is incredibly popular. Maybe it's the "popular" that's bothering us! Mind you, I do read a lot of "popular" books.

Let's hope someone enlightens us.
