I cannot decide what book I am in the mood to read from my constantly increasing to-be-read pile. I have approx. 63 books in my catalog that are tagged "unread" to choose from. I've decided to just let someone else pick one for me. Anyone want to help?

I'll pick three:
The Kite Runner
Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil
Amy and Isabelle
In that order!

I love the idea of this thread.
On occasion, I've asked people to suggest things for me - and now LT gives us (potentially) thousands of people to ask.
Looking at your list, I'd vote for Doctor Zhivago.
The older I get, the more I regret the time I've wasted reading ephemera. The classics are well-regarded for a reason.

Thank you for the quick responses. I was not expecting to hear back from anyone so soon! To keep with my original intent of not having to choose for myself, I will start with the first suggestion, The Kite Runner.
I am happy to have found this site. Its nice to meet you two. Now, I'm off to read while I still have the chance. Thanks, again.

Be sure to post back after you finish reading The Kite Runner to let us know if you liked it. I really loved that book!
I recently had the good fortune of seeing its author, Khaled Hosseini at The National Book Festival in Washington, DC.
Enjoy the book!

I'm with AsYouKnow_Bob on the subject of classics. So assuming you've finished The Kite Runner (the last post here was almost two months ago...), I warmly recommend from your exquisite list Anna Karenina, The Forsyte Saga, Moll Flanders and Bleak House. The Accidental Tourist is also great, I've read it recently myself.
