I've added a checkbox to use when the English is also okay for the language you're in, when "Pssst!" or "Zeitgeist" work fine.

I just did a few easy words on the "manaical" page. When I returned to the translations page, it said that I had translated a bunch of the longer fragments that I had absolutely not touched at all, as the same as English (word-for-word identical). I even did Back and double checked that those checkboxes hadn't become checked. I'm hoping that this is just a bug in the display and I didn't really hide them from someone who could really translate them.

Update: the "translations" really are there.
For the record, the ones I can see in the browser are:

Any way to reset them so they still show up yellow?

I fear there may be more that scrolled off the screen. I'm happy to have you nuke all the changes I made tonight (I imagine there are timestamps internally). Or all my same-text ones, of which there were some legit like "ISBN". None of them required any particular thought. Since I'm not a native speaker, I'd never try to do anything non-trivial. Even if I got the grammar 100% right, some solecism would surely slip in.

Since the forms are still in the browser history, I could perhaps look at Submit somehow if that'd help track down what happened.

My sincere apologies to DE/FR/BR/PT translators for this accident.

I had the same happening in Danish. Fortunately only a few, so I've saved the links for later.

I fixed the underlying issue--at least as far as I could see. Basically, it calculates a "checksum" of the text when it puts it on the page, then again when it gets the page back. If the checksum changed, the text was considered translated. It wasn't dealing with carriage returns and with some HTML tags in the same way, so the checksums were off.

Fixing the problem, however, doesn't mean that all the instances have reverted back. I took Ottox's list--thank you--and weeded through the IDs looking for the phenomenon. I got most of them. If I have time today, I'll make an automated thing to find when it happens.

Thanks for making it better!
