Time and Time Again by Ben Elton. I loved this time travel novel by an author not usually associated with the genre. It has a similar theme to Stephen King's 11/22/63 - a time traveller attempting to change the course of past events; in this case World War I. Elton has some clever, original ideas and an interesting protagonist, Hugh 'Guts' Stanton. I recommend it.
