I was delighted to catch this week's programme, particularly because of A N Wilson's analysis of one of my favourite authors - and one you don't often hear mentioned - John Cowper Powys. Martin Bell's discussion of his selection was sworth hearing too. The programme is still available to be listened to on-line for a few more days. I'm not sure when this happened, but in addition to the latest production, a full year's worth of Open Book programmes are now available for download as .mp3 files at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/arts/openbook/ . Just click on the programme dates on the right. The BBC has recently released a number of new Podcasts of key programmes - unfortunately for me, most only available with a UK IP address. See http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/podcasts/directory/ .
