Maybe you've read some scanslations. Maybe you've read manga in Japanese. Maybe you've just read a couple of reviews by people who have. However you stumbled across them, you probably know of at least a couple of titles you wish someone would translate into English. For me, they're the Onmyouji series by Okano Reiko (adapted from the novels by Yumemakura Baku), Kirakira Kaoru, and Hiou Shirabyoushi. They're all set in the Heian period, so they'd probably be a huge pain to translate, but I hope some publisher takes them on anyway. How about everyone else? What would you have translated if you could?

Rikdo Koshi's other professional works: I was hoping that the Excel Saga series's reception would increase the likelihood of translations for 'Holy Brownie' and 'Arahabaki', but to my knowledge it hasn't happened. I'd like to see what else his twisted mind can devise.

I would love it if Rose of Versailles by Riyoko Ikeda, Gokudo-kun Man'yuki (I think by Usagi Nakamura), Mint na Bokura by Wataru Yoshizumi, Full House Kiss by Shiori Yuwa, other titles by Ai Yazawa and Cat Street by Yoko Kamio were picked up and translated into English!

I'm sure I have umpteen others I'd like, but these come to mind right off the bat.

I'd like to see Higaeri Quest, written by the same person who wrote Slayers. Considering who the author is, the fantasy setting, and the funny story, it seems like a good choice for localizations, but no word on that so far.

I'm also fond of Fun Fun Factory, something short and sweet and with lots of pretty guys seems like a no-brainer, but that's also been overlooked...

Does anyone know of any manga which is really good, available in French, but NOT available in German or English? I will have the opportunity to acquire French titles in the near future. Seinen and shounen are a plus but I'm willing to read anything (well, with the exception of yaoi LOL).

>5 prezzey: I'd recommend Le Cortège Des Cent Démons (aka Hyakki Yakoushou) by IMA Ichiko. It feels like shoujo horror, don't know if it actually it ...

The Rose of Versailles series by Riyoko Ikeda and the rest of Ai Yazawa's body of work are what I most want to see translated. :) Which I think somebody else mentioned already!
