I thought some of you may be interested in the Lichfield Literature Weekend, from 12th to 14th October 2007. Details are here: http://www.lichfieldfestival.org/site2007/. I've booked to go & see David Crystal. Lichfield is a lovely town, there's a fine bookshop (The Staffordshire Bookshop) and the Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum. And if, by any chance, you see that the Methodist church is having a booksale, drop everything and go there! Last time we went to Lichfield, the sale was chock-a-block with old Pelicans & Penguins, as well as some jolly good modern fiction.
