Not a fan of the Annie Dillard? What didn't work for you? Mostly I see rave reviews of it, so I'm interested in dissenting opinions.

Invitation to a Beheading was great, I completely agree.

Generally I am a major Annie Dillard fan. It may have been my frame of mind at the time, but it was too dry for me.
