I made the mistake of commenting on how big of a pain it is to pack a library of 500+ books to move. A co-worker made a comment "You know you can go digital" Yes I am very aware of that and I do have an ereader but if I really like the book I try to find a copy because ereaders like any electronics go out. His response JUST PRINT THEM OUT.... he got a blank stare YOU MORON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Imagine moving a library of 500+ printed-out ebooks.

Binders full of Little Women...

LOL what a great story, Alwinn - may I recommend Weird Things Customers Say in Bookshops ... you would probably enjoy that. The hardcopy, not the ereader version :)

But of course this is the same person that ask me if I got a raise that he didnt know about since I was moving into a big place. No you work with me 40 hours a week and if your slippery little mind forgot I did get married 3 weeks ago and I didnt marry a bum he does have an income too. 1 more stupid comment out of you mister and I get to kick you (and not a kick in my mind either).

One of the online sites I read has a commenting policy against violent statements so you have to append "with votes" to every violent statement e.g., "I will kick you (with votes)"

Your coworker reminds me of a boss I had who would tell me things like "you would look so much prettier if you wore makeup" or would take hold of my upper arm and point out that I had gained weight. What a prize she was.

ETA Congrats on your marriage!

Anna, I wear makeup on my ASS. And I have gained weight in the triceps area recently, all FLAB!

maj 1, 2013, 7:40pm

Rick, someday maybe I will work for you. Or, you could work for me. :)

maj 1, 2013, 8:07pm

either way

maj 9, 2013, 1:47pm

Thank You so much Anna. And Rich Yeah and I thought putting makeup on my face every morning was a chore. And about the Flab at least if there is a food shortage we will have a reserve... And BTW I am also getting more of a "reserve" then I like.

Rick and Anna: will you please rent a soggy spot in some neutral point between you (like Tannu Tuva, or Alpha Centauri), then have the Kriegspiel Mud-Wrestle we all know you want to have. Maybe ALLWINN could referee, or take the pix. Please post video of this Clash of the Titans: we are all palpitating in expectation.... because, of-course, we all love you. Incorrigibly, -- Goddard

Anna would be so outclassed it wouldn't be sporting--I have lived my life in mud.

maj 10, 2013, 7:25am

In re #12. Correction: only so far. As to mud, think of your native Midwest and river-bottoms (preferably without bodies flying off bridges). It's Spring, and thus: per asparagum ad astra.

maj 10, 2013, 9:39am

Ah, the riverbottoms...the wisp of muck is as perfume to me...

maj 10, 2013, 12:43pm

I am from Oregon. We know from mud.

maj 10, 2013, 12:54pm

Let the games begin!

maj 10, 2013, 1:56pm

Getting up in the morning and making for the toilet I go through more obstacles than that.

maj 10, 2013, 2:54pm

Yeah, they need to add some poisonous snakes to it.

maj 10, 2013, 4:00pm

In rebus 18 atque 19. What makes you think they're not there already?

maj 13, 2013, 9:33am

Then we all can have a grand time NOODLING in all the mud..
