As nobody seems to have detected the group's most recent but oldest member, it is time to reveal LT's newest Legacy Library, the books of RichardIII, based upon Richard III's Books: Ideals and Reality in the Life and Library of a Medieval Prince by Anne F.Sutton and Livia Visser-Fuchs. EricJT and I have made a first stab at entering as complete a record as possible about the books but welcome additions (esp. cover/illustration scans) and corrections.

Margaret_of_York and RichardIII are, I think, the first pair of brother and sister among the LT Legacy Libraries. A long life helps building large book collections.

Forgive my apparently low-brow ways, but I think the Winter cannot end too soon, and with it, not merely our discontents, but some of the nuttiness in which we all wallow -- myself included -- during the hours of enforced idleness. This is quite aside that I still support Harry Tudor (so there).

As a neutral Swiss, I look with fascination at those English intra-family squabbles of an era when the royal pandas still wore armour.

Some of my distant ancestors might, however, have been involved in dispatching Margaret of York's husband and Richard's brother-in-law, Charles the Bold, at the battle of Nancy in 1477, an inevitable outcome given his inability to concede matched that of Monty Python's Black Knight.
