I was just cruising the internet for something on The Best Laid Plans for my book club and came across this short article: Sales of The Best Laid Plans jump almost 700%

Here's the entire piece:

Everyone in the book industry knows about the Giller Prize effect, but the Canada Reads effect may be just as signficant. According to BookNet Canada, sales of Terry Fallis’ Canada Reads-winning novel The Best Laid Plans jumped 695% the week after its victory compared to the week before.

There was good news for the four other contestants in CBC’s annual literary debate show; sales of The Birth House, The Bone Cage, Essex County and Unless rose an average of 170%.

Interesting!

That's why I was glad to see a comtemporary author win.

I finished and reviewed Age of Hope by David Bergen and very much enjoyed the story.

Joyce, I'm quite certain that sales of February by Lisa Moore have jumped.
