Hi Reviewers!

My doomsday novel ("The Last Israelis") is a work of fiction about the very near future, but it is thoroughly researched and based entirely on current events, the geopolitical facts of today, and on many interviews with veterans of the Israeli submarine force (including the former head of the entire submarine force).

The book is about 84,000 words long and came out last month. This military and psychological thriller deals with the Iranian nuclear threat and explores the dramas and dilemmas of 35 submariners aboard Israel's Dolphin submarine, which is armed with nuclear-tipped ballistic missiles.

Here is the link to the Library Thing page for my e-book: http://www.librarything.com/work/12824989

If you would like to review my novel, please let me know how your reading schedule looks and how you would prefer to receive the e-book.

Thank you and best regards,

Noah Beck

The Hunter Inside
www.amazon.com/The-Hunter-Inside-ebook/dp/B0082KLJO6/

Hi everyone!

I think I found the place to mention that my debut novel, The Hunter Inside, will be free all weekend from 25th-27th August 2012, and I would love if people were interested enough to download a copy and give it a try! Unfortunately, Library Thing isn't recognising it as a touchstone thingie, so I've included the link to Amazon.

It a suspense thriller - serial killer with a supernatural twist - a good mix of psychological horror, gore and a very scary monster!

Here's the blurb from Amazon:

You can lock your windows and your doors, but you cannot lock your mind from The Hunter Inside.

Paul Wayans and Bill Arnold have something in common. They are being stalked by a vicious killer.

Sandy Myers, rushing from home with her 7 year-old twins in tow, grabs a letter from the mailbox. It is addressed to Sandy Carson. Her maiden name. Contained within the plain manila envelope is a photograph. A photograph of a corpse.

The past has caught up with them, and now their lives are in jeopardy. A monster more fearsome than any the world has ever seen is hunting them, bringing with it echoes from the past and threatening the future of civilisation.

Should they run, or should they stand and fight?

FBI Special Agent Sam O’Neill will fight desperately to solve a case that he could not solve ten years before. Then, he had no clues as to the identity of the vicious killer. This time, it’s different.

But can he find them before it’s too late? And if he does not, will ANYONE survive?

The Hunter Inside is a psychological thriller with a twist. It is a page-turning roller-coaster of a novel that you won’t be able to put down until all of its secrets, twists and turns have been revealed. Packed full of gruesome murders, fear and suspense, it harbors a monster so fearsome it will give you nightmares.

Shimasou is here – and no-one is safe.

The ebook edition of Reverberation, The Novel, my 300-page historical novel, will be free at www.amazon.com/dp/B005YCZBXK for 24 hours starting at 12:00 midnight (Pacific Standard Time) on Saturday, September 29, 2012, and ending at 11:59 p.m. (PST).

A heads-up: Reverberation, The Novel, is fiction–a historical novel, an allegory–which is based on fact. The plot includes controversial (perhaps even blasphemous) religious, philosophical and lifestyle perspectives which were explored during the first half of the nineteenth century. RTN is to be read as a story, not as a proselytizing treatise.

April 18, 1828. A wealthy farmer, Jacob Hicks, dies. His friend, Squire Richard Holt, testifies that, on his deathbed, the deceased disinherited his four daughters and named his son, Maris, as his sole beneficiary. In a naive attempt to invalidate the questionable will by eliminating the witness, two disgruntled family members independently fire at the squire. One shot finds its mark.

James Daunt, one of the shooters, is seen and accused of the murder. As a posse closes in on him, he is rescued by Sally Morley, an unconventional young woman. She spirits him away to a liberal, utopian community led by Thaddeus Goodenough, a controversial, Bible-quoting preacher who advocates common property and free love. Although James is married to Jacob’s pretty daughter, Margaret, he is attracted to the idiosyncratic Sally. Their relationship grows as he is assimilated into Pleasant Valley Farm. However, the threat of capture and death by hanging is ever-present, and with the widespread publication of his description and the offer of a reward, he realizes no refuge is safe for him. James is forced to flee, leaving Sally to deal with her past as well as with the consequences of their passionate love affair.

Esther Hicks Latch, Jacob’s oldest daughter, is the second shooter. She falls during her flight from the scene and is seriously injured. Her physical and mental health deteriorates as the fallout from the murder of Richard Holt reverberates around the shooters and ensnares those who are close to them. Esther’s husband, Elias, becomes obsessed with capturing James. Her brother, Maris, faces a legal challenge to the verbal will and acts to ensure his inheritance against the efforts of his siblings to overturn the testimony in court. While trying to save James’ soul, the Reverend Goodenough is compelled to evaluate his own truths.

Reverberation, The Novel, is a story of love and friendship, greed and survival set amid the changing social, religious and philosophical mores of early nineteenth-century America.

Hi everyone,

I've just joined librarything and think it's great.

If I'd known about you before I'd have given more notice, but still... my novel Beer Goggles is available free until the end of today - 9/30.

It is a British comedy-thriller, so if you like to laugh whilst unravelling a mystery and aren't put off by British English, it might be just what you are looking for.

http://www.amazon.com/Beer-Goggles-ebook/dp/B008ZF5SOU

I already have a few excellent reviews, but I would appreciate more, so if you like it, please let the world know.

Here's the blurb:

“Useless, useless bastards!”

With a thunderstorm replacing the forecasted warm sunshine, Travis’s day started badly. He hoped a trip to Blackpool, with his friend Dave, would lift his spirits.

He would be wrong.

After encountering 'Uncle Fester', a naked gardener wielding a rake, and an incontinent dog, he should have turned the car around and gone home. Instead, Dave suggests a visit to the pub, where teetotaller Travis discovers a taste for alcohol.

If the opposite of serendipity existed, this would be it.

An hour later, someone calls Dave an ambulance.

Things go downhill from there.

Subsequently arrested for breaking and entering whilst wearing gorilla suits (and who knew that would be illegal), they have to convince the police they have been witness to the murder of a beautiful woman. Or have they? Or could it be, like the police suggest, a bad case of Beer Goggles?

Beer Goggles is an epic (hangover) tale of (half)wit(s) and (dutch) courage, where, thanks to the delights of alcohol, nothing is quite what it appears and where the wrong decision could cost Travis and Dave their lives.

If you like a good romp as much as you love a good yarn, Beer Goggles should be your tipple of choice.

Enjoy responsibly!

Sean

"Then, all of the sudden, amidst the glow, he finds himself standing at the banks of a lake with his daddy. He lets go of his daddy’s hand, flings a stone and at once he can spot—right there, in the middle of the lake—a ripple taking shape. One circle rises magically inside another, widening, riding out farther and farther until at long last it fades out. White lilies can be seen floating all around. One of them is right here, at arms reach. Only a thin line, the line of illusion, separates the petal from its white reflection. And underneath it, schools of golden fish scurry in one direction, then take a sharp turn and flow elsewhere."

O all right, 'tis the Season to be jolly. And besides, there's a Christmas scene. First three come, first three served, till the Solstice. My HARMONY JUNCTION, all four and a half pounds of it, postpaid anywhere in North America. Only conditions are these. First, you must take a look at some of the write-ups on the Web, and then decide whether you can really swing with an incredibly detailed anarcho-Christian tale of three generations of a North American family, with liberal doses of lit- and music-talk, sex of various persuasions, and generous portions of Italian (+ German, + Yiddish), and shameless workingclass bias. Second, if you don't like it, return it (I'll pay), and third, don't say I didn't warn ya. Many, if not most of the participants in the various writers' Groups which I follow work in phantasy or historical fiction. I would be presumtous of me to assume that one's writing-interests are perfectly congruent with one's reading-interests, but there's a simple matter of good manners here: the last thing I would want to do is to offer a gift which the well-intentioned recipient might reagrds as a curse. That said, The Call is now out!

Dracula Rekindled ***FREE*** for the LAST TIME on Kindle (about to leave KDP Select)

Hi folks, if you like horror, especially gothic horror, and enjoyed the original Dracula, why not download my own sequel for free! Here's the speel...

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A3BFPOC

The Original Vampire is rekindled for the 21st Century...
'Some stories should never end. Good stories leave the reader thirsty for more. The best stories can give us legends that leave a permanent imprint on the literary world. Count Dracula is just such a legend; spawned countless film adaptations, inspired the 20th century horror genre and, ultimately, planted the vampire firmly in popular culture. Yet in a world of civilized, sparkling vampires, Stoker's story begs to be continued.

With Dracula Rekindled, Xander Buchan takes the reigns from Bram Stoker with a fresh sequel that remains faithful to the Gothic horror classic, Dracula. Crafted in an epistolary style, and sharing the same DNA as Dracula, Xander also succeeds in making the read distinctly contemporary. This clever, suspenseful story builds steadily to draw the reader into a place of much mystery, intrigue, and horror. The ORIGINAL VAMPIRE has been rekindled and Buchan has created a believable Dracula for the 21st century.

SYNOPSIS:
'Not until he cannot lose will he make his move! His preparation will be slow and thorough. Never again will he meet defeat by the same ends...'
A young couple find their plans delayed by unforeseen events. A student's PhD research digs up more than she bargained for, and a renowned Haematologist discovers his ancestor, Van Helsing, was master of more than just medicine.

Amidst a series of strange events and horrific discoveries, lands are being bought up in Scotland; renovation work begins in a quaint coastal village to restore a medieval castle ruin. Does the prestigious restoration, and its new owner, hold any connection to the dark events unfolding?

As a dark force rises, a secret history is uncovered - but could it even be believed? A desperate hunt for answers leads to the farthest reaches of darkest Europe; has an ancient foe returned to threaten mankind once more?

Epic Fantasy Giveaway: Hi, I'm Mitchell Hogan and I've put up 15 copies of my new epic fantasy novel A Crucible of Souls in a LibraryThing giveaway.

If you're interested the giveaway can be found here: http://www.librarything.com/er/giveaway/list

For a debut novel this is more than a little impressive. Characters are vividly drawn, multi-layered, and in one or two cases, compelling. Hogan joins with the new wave of fantasy authors in his use of morally ambivalent characters, distinct and tight points of view, believable world building, an intelligible magic system, and some edgy, gritty content. - D.P. Prior, author of the Nameless Dwarf

When Caldan’s parents are brutally slain, he is raised by monks and taught the arcane mysteries of sorcery. Vowing to discover for himself who his parents really were, and what led to their violent end, he is thrust into the unfamiliar chaos of city life. With nothing to his name but a pair of mysterious heirlooms and a handful of coins, he must prove his talent to earn an apprenticeship with a guild of sorcerers.

But he soon learns the world outside the monastery is a darker place than he ever imagined, and his treasured sorcery has disturbing depths.

As a shadowed evil manipulates the unwary and forbidden powers are unleashed, Caldan is plunged into an age-old conflict that brings the world to the edge of destruction…

To commemorate the 170th anniversary of the end of British occupation of the Hawaiian Kingdom, Hermann Schachtschneider will be giving away free copies of his new Christian novel, Sarah's Kine Justice, A Story of Modern Hawaii, available for Amazon kindle.

Here's the book description from Amazon.com:

Action & Adventure in Hawaii!
“Couldn't put it down,”
was the comment added by the first Amazon reviewer.

Prologue: In 1893, a diplomat of the United States and 162 US Marines helped overthrow the government of the Hawaiian Kingdom. Five years later, an act of Congress unilaterally annexed the islands. At the time, President Grover Cleveland admitted mistakes were made, and tried to restore the Hawaiian Monarchy to Queen Lili'uokalani. Sadly, he was unsuccessful.

A hundred years later, President Bill Clinton formally apologized for the actions of the United States. Yet today, Hawaiian pleas for justice are still unresolved.

Now, two genetic engineers have found a way to force the United States to give back the islands, and they've given notice that all non-Hawaiians must get out or die.

Sarah Kiley is one of a few thousand pure-blooded Hawaiians who stand to inherit Hawaii under the scientists' plan. While investigating the murder of a friend, she finds herself a key player on the inter-agency task force that's trying to stop them. Given the opportunity to change the history of her people and return their stolen sovereignty, she must decide which side will win.

Told from a Christian worldview!

This story is told from a Christian worldview. The main protagonists are not morally perfect, but they are practicing Christians. They pray, and they find strength in their relationships with their Creator and Savior. The author has taken care to not include expletives, blasphemous language or the sorts of story events and elements that he finds morally offensive in many popular thrillers and mysteries. The result is a first class thriller that you can recommend unequivocally to any Christian book lover.

Discover the uplifting pleasure of reading a thriller purposely written from a Christian worldview.

Sovereignty Restoration Day (July 31) commemorates the day in 1843 when the British Admiral Thomas, on behalf of Queen Victoria, formally returned control of the Hawaiian Kingdom to King Kamehameha III. The Islands had fallen into British possession when a British sea captain, acting on his own authority, seized them in the name of Great Britain some five months earlier.

This is a sneak peek at my newest book! I want to introduce people to this new series of thrillers, the Wallis Jones series so I'm giving away 100 ebooks to connect with readers. http://www.librarything.com/er/giveaway/list#14405597

"Wallis Jones, a divorce attorney in Richmond, Va., lives a quiet life with her husband, Norman Weiskopf, also an attorney, and their son, Ned, a 9-year-old genius. Their suburban bliss is interrupted, however, when their family becomes a key component in a war between the world’s two enormously influential secret societies, Management and the Circle. The history and reach of these societies is revealed in waves throughout the novel; ultimately, it becomes clear that these two groups shape every major political and economic situation in the world, and one or the other has been doing so since the late 1700s. Typically, these groups operate in ways that are either entirely covert or seemingly transparent that they appear to be beyond suspicion... An engaging thriller..." Kirkus Reviews

“Carr excels at looking for the human dimension. When she tackles an issue, she explains the connections to real people and the real ramifications for their lives. She then buttresses her analysis with prose that is at once intellectually playful and vivid. That is a powerful combination,” Geitner Simmons of the Omaha-World Herald.

"The List is a rip-roaring read from start to finish, filled with unexpected twists and narrow escapes and a tremendously satisfying payoff that I never saw coming!"

Linked above for the print and Ebook versions with samples and deals. While unique and incomparable you might like it if you appreciate the work of Pratchett, Fforde and even Tim Dorsey(for the Florida angle of the tale). Family rated, things packed in for everyone, little minds and large, large hearts and small joys.

CONTINUANCE - Free on Amazon February 10 to 14, 2014

Hi Everyone - My book, CONTINUANCE, will be free on Amazon for the next five days and I hope you'll have a chance to check it out. It's for all readers who like history with their mystery. The book alternates between dual time periods - 1905 New York City and present day - and is two separate stories connected by the century-old remains discovered in a pirate's tunnel in modern-day Savannah during an FBI search for a kidnapped seven-year-old child, the son of a wealthy New York City real estate tycoon. If you liked the alternating time periods in Tess Gerritsen's THE BONE GARDEN, you'll like CONTINUANCE.

I have a giveaway going on Goodreads this month for my new fantasy novel Seventh Night.

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18777181-seventh-night

Summary: Once, a boy fell in love with a girl not long before a princess married a charming prince, and if the boy had been the prince or the girl had not been the princess, this might have been a simple fairytale romance.

But he wasn't, and she was. So things were complicated. And then there were the bandits and the poison and the kidnapping and the secrets and the betrayal and the monsters and the magic, the journey across the desert and the journey across the sea, and of course that tax issue.

In a land where unicorns are commonplace, life can start resembling a storybook. Everyone wants a happily ever after, but sometimes true love requires sacrifices...

YA Thriller, 230 pages, Kindle Format
Published January, 2014

Teens escape from a religious cult. Key themes include romance, mystery, and a unique paranormal twist (not a paranormal romance, though). In exchange for an honest review, I’m offering a free e-book from Amazon.

Parental Advisory—If this were a movie, it would definitely be rated PG-13 or higher. There are a couple of f-bombs and s-bombs, along with other language scattered throughout. For romance, there’s a bit of teen smooching, but no sex or explicit sexual references. Drug trafficking is key to the plot, though it is not shown to be glamorous, and there is no actual drug use described. In terms of violence, there are a couple of deaths, one of which is not pretty. There is a bit of magical realism, though no magic or spells. It's about par for the course in terms of mainstream YA these days, but I know that's not for everyone. Please know this going in, and choose to read (or not read) accordingly. I’d be fine with my own son reading it when he’s 14, but it’s OK for others to disagree. Click below to see if this might be for you!

Thanks for your interest! I am LOVING LibraryThing!

I would love to get feedback and reviews on my latest novel "Buzzworm", a tech thrilled based on stories revealed to me by a former Mossad agent who wrote military viruses for the Israeli army. The novel is just under 100,000 words and chronicles an attack on the CIA.

The key character is Mary Ellen Duke who joined the CIA when she was 23, dreaming of a life of glory and intrigue. Instead she got the graveyard shift, buried in the bowels of Langley sorting through an endless stream of surveillance photos and blurry satellite images. Then late one evening, another dinner date cancelled, she discovers an awful truth. The CIA, the United States, likely the entire globe, is about to be brought to its knees by the greatest threat of the modern world; a computer super-virus called Buzzworm.

The CIA hires an eccentric Canadian hacker to find the source of the virus. Instead he becomes a murder suspect when his attempt to remove the mysterious program causes the deaths of several key employees.

Gregory Hyde, Washington DC’s oldest and most infamous homicide detective is brought in to solve the case. He finds himself reluctantly on the trail of both the hacker and Mary Ellen who have teamed up to track down the lair of Buzzworm in the wilds of Virginia.

A free e-copy of the book in PDF format (or other if required) will be made available to anyone interested in writing a review.

Hi voracious readers!

I'm brand new to the site. I would love to give away either the e-book version, or the paperback version of my dark fantasy/magical realism novel titled "Plague of Angels" to anyone interested in something dark, and new.

It's my debut novel, and as you can imagine, it's a mighty feat to try and be seen/heard in such an overcrowded marketplace. But I must warn you my novel can be offensive to some. It's a novel about Dark Angels, and I went to places that I'm pretty confident in...no authors have gone before. Have an open mind, and a desire for something fresh, and very different. I went all in, and I didn't hold back. I wasn't worried about backlash, or controversy, or bad reviews. I went into the world of Dark Angels, and I truly believe I did them justice.

Here's the book blurb.
Nyx is Queen of Hell and ruler of the Angels who were banished there – the Descended.

And when the rest of the Angels are called home, Nyx finds herself stuck on the Earth with the Son of God. To her surprise, she learns that he is no happier than she. God's son thought he was sent down to judge humanity. Instead, he becomes a sacrifice for a cause he does not believe in – their redemption.

After his mortal body dies, the Son of God makes Nyx an offer: a new paradise on Earth if she will help him destroy humanity.

With two of her fellow Angels by her side, Nyx launches a thousand-year campaign of violence, sex, betrayal and intrigue to bring down God's people and have them worship her instead. From the back streets of Jerusalem to the palaces of Rome, from the temples of Egypt to the Pope's bedchamber, Nyx and her companions work to destroy the worshippers of God.

But not all is as it seems. And the Son of God has bigger plans than any of them imagine...

And here's my link on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Plague-Angels-Descended-Patrick-Kennedy-ebook/dp/B00H9JSNE...

My first editorial review:
Plague of Angels is a page turner... there's a lot of action... there's a lot of history... there's a lot of sexual content(without being porn)... it was a good blend of what you think you know and fiction that leaves you pouring through the pages wondering what will take place next. I am so looking forward to seeing if Mr. Kennedy can keep pace in Book 2. -Puretextuality.com

Thanks in advance! And give me a shot. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Regards,

John Patrick Kennedy

That and preparing for the gala, the tourney, and learning of a pirate build-up keep her fully occupied throughout the story. The story is told from the first-person point of view, so readers are right there with her as she struggles through decisions that will ultimately impact the entire Silver Fairy Tribe.

**This is my second Goodread's giveaway, and I am pleased to say that I also had a good experience. Both of the readers who won copies of Silver Princess gave honest, heartfelt reviews, which are far and away the best kind!

Hi Everyone - My book, THE TIES THAT BIND, will be free on Amazon on March 17 to 21, 2014. The genre is mystery/suspense. I hope you have the chance to check it out. A little about the book:

In this standalone prequel to TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE…Four years ago, Brooke Connelly made the biggest mistake of her life when she betrayed her mobster boyfriend by tipping off the intended victim of his next hit. Thanks to her timely intervention, Chaz Longo was able to flee Las Vegas while Brooke opted to stay behind; a decision that nearly cost Brooke her life after she was beaten and left for dead by her boyfriend in retaliation for her betrayal. In desperation, Brooke turned to one of the most powerful men in Las Vegas for protection – unaware that her arrangement with Clint Staebler was non-negotiable and permanent.

Brooke has since relocated to L.A., where she’s the general manager of a popular restaurant and nightclub, both owned by Clint Staebler. With her recent engagement to a prominent Beverly Hills doctor and the impending arrival of their baby through a surrogate, Brooke is determined to cut all ties to her past but the cards seem to be stacked against her when her fiancé is enlisted to treat Chaz Longo, barely alive after foolishly returning to Vegas and crossing paths with Brooke’s former boyfriend. Brooke’s life is further complicated when her fiancé finds out about her past relationship with Clint Staebler and demands to know where her loyalties lie, especially after Chaz is later gunned down in Clint’s nightclub and Brooke is strangely reluctant to quit her job. Caught between a murderer and a man who refuses to let her go at all costs, Brooke plays her one trump card in the hopes that it will be powerful enough to sever her ties to her past, once and for all.

This is a sweeping murder mystery set against the glitzy backdrop of Vegas and the ostentatious wealth of L.A. where family secrets are exposed, past mistakes are never forgotten and revenge is what makes it all worthwhile…

Update on my Goodreads giveaway - it hasn't really picked up, numbers-wise, yet, but I expect it to as the deadline draws nearer. One thing I have noticed is that only half of the people who've entered to win actually seem interested in reading the book. lol!
I'm making that deduction based on these statistics: Number of requests (80) and Number of people who've marked it as "to read" (40).
I may have been very lucky last time, in having both of my winners complete Goodreads reviews of Silver Princess, but right now I'm really hoping that the winners this time will be from the 40 who seem to actually want to read Silver Majesty!

Hi Everyone,

I am having an ebook give-away here on LibraryThing for my new book, Necropolis (Release Date: April 24th), a humorous work of dark Fiction about a sociopath, who works for the Burials and Cemeteries department in his local council. If anyone is interested here is the link:

http://www.librarything.com/er_list.php?sort=quantity&program=giveaway&c...

This is the Blurb:

Dyson Devereux works in the Burials and Cemeteries department in his local council. Dyson is intelligent, incisive and informed. He is also a sociopath. Dyson’s contempt for the bureaucracy and banality of his workplace provides ample refuge for his mordant wit. But the prevalence of Essex Cherubs adorning the headstones of Newton New Cemetery is starting to get on his nerves.

When an opportunity presents itself will Dyson seize his chance and find freedom, or is his destiny to be a life of toil in Burials and Cemeteries?

Brutal, bleak and darkly comical, Necropolis is a savage indictment of the politically correct, health and safety obsessed world in which we live.

‘Not only a funny, twisted, erudite satire on the psychopath genre, this novel also boasts a compelling plot and
finely sculpted characters’

‘A black comedy of true distinction’

‘I was at once fascinated and disturbed by the devious Dyson Devereux with his malicious pedantry, wicked schemes and grotesque good taste. A barbed joy’

If you are interested in potentially reviewing Necropolis, or my first book, Charles Middleworth, please let me know and I will provide you with a free copy (epub or .mobi).

Kind regards

Guy

Do you feel like you're always behind the 8 ball? Do you get to the end of your day but feel like you accomplished nothing? Do you have a tendency to put things off until the last minute?

We all tend to delay things from time to time, and some days, we're just swamped with work when there's so many things to be done. Even the most organized people will struggle with time management at one point or another.

Dominic Wolff addresses these problems and more in his latest book, "Tame Your Gmail in 5 Easy Steps with David Allen's GTD." This book will show you how to manage your time better and actually get things done!

Wolff, an author and advocate of productivity tools, has written several books about using the famous Getting Things Done (the time management system developed by David Allen) in combination with different software applications - first with Evernote, and now Google's Gmail, Tasks, Calendar, and Drive. Yes, the power of GTD and all these Google services are combined in a single book.

Let's say you have a thousand things going on at work. You can simplify this by putting incoming/pending tasks into different inboxes. Doing so will allow you to execute all work as bite-size chunks and you'll know exactly what to do anywhere, anytime. That's basically what Getting Things Done is.

"Tame Your Gmail in 5 Easy Steps with David Allen's GTD" applies GTD's principles and shows you how to use Gmail, Google Tasks, Google Calendar, and Google Drive the GTD way so that:

Your emails will be organized into a clear-cut system
Your appointments will be organized so that you'll never miss any event
You'll remember anything and everything
You can see what needs to be done wherever you are, whether you're on your computer or are out and about
You can get more things done
The best part is that you can achieve the GTD mindset with Google's services in just five simple steps!

Hi everyone! I'm giving away 20 copies of my book -(Multi-level Marketing: The Beginners Guide To Starting Out With Multi-Level Marketing) until the 25th of July. You can request your copy on Member Giveaway or simply comment on my page and leave your email address and the preferred book format. Thanks.

What if you could earn money based on the results of your work instead of the number of hours worked?

This means that the better you are at your work, the faster you can finish it. And the faster you can finish, the more work you can take -- which means more money. Don't you wish all jobs were like this? It's unfortunate that most jobs are stuck in the old tradition where employees are paid by the hour.

You are not alone in wishing there was a job that offered autonomy instead of working from 9 to 5. Regardless of how productive you are in those hours, you only get paid by the hours, not the results.

Fortunately, you don't have to get stuck in this kind of system. Carl Donovan, business owner and author of numerous books on business productivity, talks about how multi-level marketing can help you become an independent business owner through his new released book, Multi-level Marketing: The Beginners Guide to Starting Out with Multi-Level Marketing. The harder you work, the more you earn. In multi-level marketing, you are in full control of how successful you want your business to be.

Because multi-level marketing has produced so many successful people, small businesses have taken advantage of the business model without building a strong foundation for its members. Some end up feeling discouraged with multi-level marketing and vow never to join a company again. Donovan's Multi-level Marketing will help you avoid just that. In a sea of companies that promises to make you part of the successful few, it can be a bit confusing which companies to join. This book has all the valuable information you need to help you navigate the world of multi-level marketing.

In the book, Donovan discussed the following points:

A list of the world's top 35 multi-level marketing companies
How to successfully implement the multi-marketing model
Myths about multi-level marketing
Mistakes to avoid in multi-level marketing
Multi-level marketing tips for introverts
How to grow a highly profitable business
These are just a few of the many lessons you will learn from the book. So what are you waiting for? Don't get stuck getting paid by the hour, but by the amount of work you do. Earn as much as you wish to. No other business strategy offers you this kind of freedom and income the way multi-marketing does.

Hi All,

I am looking for reviewers to review my first book, The Effective Project Manager. If you a manager, project manage, business leader, coach, any coordinator of people and ideas and you are interested, please email me at mstratton@effectivepmbook.com and I will point you in the right direction for a complimentary download.

Book Description:
This book doesn't offer a 10-step plan for a successful project management career because no plan can possibly address every project contingency. This book is a necessary guide for any coordinator of people and projects. You may be a planner, thinker, strategist, project manager, business owner, executive leader, business analyst, athletic coach, parent or simply an individual curious about ways to become more effective at work. Any way you slice it, you'll benefit from reading this book.

The Effective Project Manager explains in easy-to-understand terms what you need to do in order to become the best project manager you can be—an Effective Project Manager (EPM). The key themes of this book include time management, people management and thoughtful production of work that matters.

You need to be able to tell what work is the most important during any given hour spent on the job. You'll learn how to accomplish this task by better understanding people and organizations. You'll get people to tell you things by listening, planning and leading. You'll turn into a doer who can handle any situation thrown at you. You'll learn how to organize your thoughts and structure your planning process by using mind maps and pictures. You'll find out how to track progress easily and give your teams proven processes to use. Finally, you'll learn the common traits that all EPMs share.

The book is split into two parts. Part 1 focuses on how to manage yourself and includes tools that will help you become more effective in both your professional and personal life. Part 2 focuses on how to manage others. If you can manage yourself and manage others effectively, then you can lead almost any project.

From the Author
The intent behind this book is to provide insights into key personality traits as well as hard skills that are required in order to be a Effective Project Manager. If you are not focused on doing the right things at the right times you will spin your wheels and find yourself stuck on the side of the road. I am a cultural anthropologist, wordsmith, organizational psychologist, investigator and visual architect working in a project management role. This combination of skills and interests in addition to utilization of hard-nosed project management tactics allows me to offer valuable insights that are not always at the forefront of an executive's mind but should be.

About the Author
Michael Stratton, strong advocate for project management professionals, is a practicing project manager with 15 years of experience in the information technology sector across a broad range of industries. "The Effective Project Manager" focuses on how to improve productivity, think strategically through the use of mind maps, produce work that matters and how to navigate the power personalities that exist within most organizations.

Michael has an M.S. in Technology Management from the University of Denver (2005) and a B.S. in Anthropology from the Missouri State University (1998).
Michael has been married to his wife, Joanna for thirteen years. They have three boys. They live in Golden, CO and Michael works in downtown Denver.

THE CROSSING AT BLAISDELL PARK - FREE on Amazon June 22 - 25, 2015

Hi Everyone,

My new standalone book in the Kate Stanton Hollywood Mystery series, THE CROSSING AT BLAISDELL PARK, is free on Amazon from June 22 - 25, 2015. The Kate Stanton Hollywood Mystery series is described as the perfect mystery reader Cosmo - one part 'I-didn't-see-that-coming whodunit with a double shot of Hollywood glam'. I hope you'll download it during this limited time offer. Here's a bit more about the book:

Thanks to the huge success of the year’s blockbuster civil war epic, The Crossing at Blaisdell Park, there’s been a resurgence of interest in the former sixties musical duo, the Paisleys, and its only surviving member, Kate Stanton, who had recorded an interactive version of the duo’s first hit single for the movie. With an initial worldwide gross of just under a billion dollars and a sequel already in production, it looks like the The Crossing – as it’s been dubbed by the press – is going to go down in history as one of Hollywood’s most successful film franchises – until tragedy strikes, that is. Just as Kate is about to unveil the Paisleys’ long-awaited star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a stolen cargo van jumps the curb a few feet from where everyone is gathered, killing a woman dressed as Charlotte Valcour, the heroine in The Crossing. The tragedy follows a series of disastrous events which have overshadowed shooting of the sequel, fueling rumors that the shoot is being haunted by the ghost of the movie’s dead heroine. Things become even more complicated when the director of the movie suddenly disappears during shooting of a pivotal battle scene. Kate soon realizes that Charlotte’s ghost may not be the only thing they need to contend with as she finds herself dodging a killer intent on exposing the truth behind The Crossing at Blaisdell Park.

Description:

The author, a photographer and a missionary working in Japan, visited Israel many times, carrying his specially built large format camera. While walking many of the paths that Jesus walked, he used his camera's eye to record the beautiful landscapes which are still largely the same as during the time of Jesus, the ancient city of Jerusalem, the towns and villages scattered throughout the country and ruins of places so often visited by Jesus and his disciples.

This work―featuring high quality photographs accompanied by selected Bible texts, short explanations and maps―will no doubt add to your understanding of the world of the Bible, especially the events described in the Four Gospels. And looking at the beautiful scenery caught by the camera, you may often find yourself as if standing where Jesus and his disciples just walked ...

"A great spiritual journey with Jesus and his Disciples! Beautiful pictures of places related to the Gospels with well selected Bible texts showing the earthly journey of Jesus, from his birth in Bethlehem to his Resurrection. The maps on each page are of great help too. An excellent book which I would highly recommend for everyone who wants to know the Bible and our Lord Jesus Christ better." - iTunes (Japan) Review

See you when I meet you.

The Journey of a Promised Dream is never easy.

Living to fulfill the promise given as a child, he strives to gather enough money until his Temple training finishes by doing various jobs. One day, he takes a risky job that nearly kill him but surviving the event, due to his Temple training, he is given a much needed gift that will change his life.

Shunned by the one he thought he loved, removed from the sheltered life of the Temple, discovering new ways of enchanting and determined to keep his word, he has to face dangerous people and situations. In his struggle to succeed, he finds something he never thought will feel again: belonging, companionship and love, from women who make their own promises.

The book is intended for mature readers only.

I don't know if anyone is reading this thread anymore, but because I'm not having a lot of luck w/ Early Reviewers (I get requests, but they don't get assigned)...

I've published the ebook version of "The Old Gods Endure" today. You can download it in your preferred format for free at https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/1401812. Just click the "buy" button and use the coupon code FX33A prior to completing your checkout. The available ebook formats are epub, mobi (kindle), and pdf.

Hi gwernin
It is frustrating when your books can't find readers. From what I understand Early Reviewers only assign books if they think the requester is actually likely to read them and enjoys that genre. I sent off 8 pdfs and there were three reviews from those, no idea if the others were read or not. The U.S market seems to prefer ebooks (in my extremely limited experience!!) so it's a good idea to publish in that format too. It's nice of you to offer your book free and I hope somebody takes you up on it. It's not my genre but I wish you all the best.

>102 JLCrellin:

I'm pretty sure that the Early Reviewers reader selection algorithms only kick in if there are more requesters than copies offered. Calculations happen once a month.

>103 paradoxosalpha: that seems to be it - I offered 10 copies, got 15 requests, but only 3 winners. The new system is not working well for me. The problem is people who request more books than they are eligible to win, and by the time the algorithm gets to me, most of my requesters are already at their limit.

As a requester, I noticed that there's been a real decline in books awarded to me, but I figured that demand might have gone up. I wonder if there's a bug.

I had a long discussion w/ Abigail about this last year, but no luck.
