Hunger Games Rhyming Game

Hey everyone! I noticed that this group did not have many game threads, so I decided to add one. This particular one was inspired by the nice folks over at the Hogwarts Express.

So, basically, how it works is that one person posts a line that rhymed with the last persons line, and then added one new one. Make sense? Here's an example:

Prim's name was drawn,
but Katniss stepped forward,

But then feelings shot even more downward,
When Peeta Mellark, the boy with the bread,

My apologies for the bad poetry. I may LOVE to read, but I'm no poet!

Hopefully this'll work! Lets start with my last line, ending in bread.

Katniss was starting to dread
Going into that arena

I'm also terrible so sorry!!

(better than mine :)

Even though she would be with Peeta,
When they arrived they a met a wood,

Which was Just as bad as they thought it would
Katniss lost peeta to the careers

Oh, poor Katniss could show no tears,
She fought for survival,

and when she found him their love was in revival (is that proper grammar?)
he had painted himself to match the ground

(Sure!)

She almost missed him, he looked so much like a... mound?
Haymitch sent them some food,

Peeta had katniss wooed
He was very sick

But Katniss nursed him back, his heart now beating a healthy tick!
When they finally emerged out of thier den,

They faced a challenge that most would just count to ten
And then give up

but katniss is a survivor...yup
she shot a deer

and healed her bleeding ear
She went to the feast

And to say the least,
She almost got killed

but wasn't quite felled
she got the backpack

After getting jacked,
She went to heal Peeta

An ran like a cheeta
from the mutations

(such absurd creations)
And then killed Cato

Who was torn up like a potato
So she could win the games

And gain money and fame
But lose so much more

as did Finnick who lives by the shore
love, friends, family
