I set my goal at 120 books, which will include physical books from my shelves and Nook books which are growing at an alarming rate. I think at last count I had over 300 books on the Nook, yikes!

Lucky for me, I designated a category in my 12-12 for both off the shelf and Nook items.

I will aim for clearing 70 Nook books and 50 actual books. This makes sense for me since it is so darn easy to download a book,(i.e. Free Friday selections) and I haven't made any bookstore purchases since the last time I had to buy a birthday gift.

I will also somehow track what I purchase in 2012.

Lisa, you're right about the Free Friday selections at B&N. My arsenal grew tremendously because of them.

Hi Lisa, it sure doesn't take long for those e-books to add up. My goal is including a number of books I would like to clear from my Kindle as well as "real" books.

Good luck with your challenge!

#2 and #3, Cheli and Judy, I've been a bad ,bad girl. I just used two B&N gift cards and made a few purchases.

My sick twisted thinking is telling me that if I hurry and get everything in by Dec 31, I don't have a willpower problem!

Oh, I don't think you are the only bad girl around here ... (looks down in shame).

Next week I'm making my purchases from B&N so put me down as a charter member of the bad girl club!

If you get them quick before the start of the year, you can count them as part of your target group for 2012. Doesn't that mean they'll be worth good girl points?

I was a REALLY bad girl when Border's closed, and I work for B&N so keeping my book buying under control is a a challenge unto itself! I'm hoping that this challenge will keep me from buying for a while. I have a wishlist of everything that I don't own yet on my iphone so that when I am ready to buy again I won't face the hazard of browsing (talk about a mine field!).

You're doing a good job of reading more off your shelves than you are buying, I just barely breaking even on that score!
