This should be a nice little by-pass through my books, I think I'll start from the beginning of this year (2011) and see what I can find to fill in some of my states. Wonder how long this will take me. No pressure....

(2024) Wow how time flies when your doing other things. Going back to update, Maybe I already completed this. Maybe not.

Welcome to the challenge! I'm hoping to finish my 50 states this year! I could have been done by now if I'd worked more systematically at filling them in, but I've got a lot of books that I've wanted to read that were repeat visits so I haven't worked as systematically as I should have.

I'll fill them in as I go and hope I don't forget any.

Dexter is Delicious by Jeff Lindsay
Set in Miami, Florida

Took me little while to get into this one. When the book series and the TV series are so different, it takes time to move out of one and into the other.

In this book, Dexter has become a father and is trying to reform his Deadly Dark Dexter ways. Right as he is coming into a case that very well might need his Dark Passenger to figure out.
Brian, his brother, comes back and tries to move in on Dexters' territory with the family.
And the case of a missing person has a strange turn. All this sets Dexter on a new path of righteousness that may very well be his undoing.

The Rebel by J.R. Ward

Cute little love story. Frankie is a strong heroine, jumps to a lot of conclusions but otherwise likable.
Nate, the hero, has his car break down in the Adirondacks, and winds up on Frankie's doorstep. Seeing she is in need of help with her Bed and Breakfast, he offers his services as a chef until the end of the season.
Can they keep the heat in the kitchen, or is that pot going to boil over?

Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life by Wendy Mass

Jeremy Fink has just received a box from his father, who has been dead for 5 years.
He is supposed to open this box on his 13th birthday, which is just months away. It has four keyholes but no keys.
With the help of his best friend Lizzy, he goes in search of the keys.
This is an interesting story, as it gets you thinking on what is most important to you. What is your meaning in your life? Written for young adults, it is a story any age group could get into.

How to Bake a Perfect Life by Barbara O'Neal

I quite enjoyed this book, the story held my interest even though it's not my usual flavor of story. I do wish they author had gone a little bit more in depth at the ending of the book, on how everything worked out for the bakery and such, but other than that a recommended read.
