I started reading this book and was slightly intrigued with what was happening, but couldn't seem to get past the punctuation dilemma. I found that the missing dialogue punctuation and tags made this a distressing read. I wonder if anyone else experienced this with the book. I would love to hear your responses.

Are you talking about Blindness?

I haven't read it yet (it's on my shelf), but I read a couple of his other books recently and had no problem at all with the way he represents dialogue. It's a bit of a puzzle the first time you see it, but I found that it soon becomes as natural as any other convention for representing speech on the page.

Yes, I was referring to Blindness. I don't know why I wrote Missing. Sorry about that.

I have not read Missing yet, but with Blindness, you eventually get used to it .
